Kim Dao Visits Kyoto

Kyoto is an old and historical city in Japan, on the island of Honshu. It served as the capital and residence of the emperor for over one thousand years. It still contains many treasured old temples and shrines.

Kim Dao is a young Australian woman living in Tokyo, and in this video, she takes you with her as she visits this incredible tourist destination. She arrives on a train, and then the camera takes us to what looks like a temple complex, the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine. This is one of the top things to do and see in Kyoto, and Kim Dao takes it in.Learn more :

Kim Dao climbs up the up Mount Inari. A long line of closely-set, bright orange torii gates cover the steps going up. She went on Monday, May 1. Kim Dao says she is out of breath fromf walking up the steps for twenty minutes, but there aren’t many people. There obviously are other tourists, but not as many as there would be on a weekend. But she reaches the top.Learn more :

When Kim Dao eats, she shows the Japanese menu and the food, but she doesn’t describe what she’s eating. It looks like some kind of ice cream dessert, but is so green it’s hard to know for sure.Learn more :

Afterward, she takes a bus to Kinkakuji Temple. It’s clearly in a very beautiful setting with a calm pond and a bridge. And many trees grow from tiny islands set in the pond. It’s called the Golden Pavilion because it’s set with gold leaf.Learn more :
