Hussain Sajwani, Global Business Giant & Philanthropist

Hussain Sajwani was born in Dubai in 1956 to a large family. He learned the basics of business by watching his father in his shop. Hussain Sajwani graduated from Washington University in 1981 with a degree in Economics and Engineering.

Hussain Sajwani is a very successful businessman and is very well-known. He is best known for founding his company, DAMAC Properties, which is a giant in the global property development field. Before he founded DAMAC Properties, he began his career at GASCO as a Contracts Manager. From his time at GASCO, he made the leap of starting his own business. His business, DAMAC Properties, began as a catering venture. It has since expanded to be a huge leader in the marketing business with over 200 projects, and these projects serve over 150,000 meals a day. Hussain Sajwani and his company employ over 2000 employees focusing on luxury property development.

They have delivered over 17,000 homes with a portfolio that has 44,000+ projects in various stages of planning and development. DAMAC Properties has also ventured into the hospitality business with its’ hospitality division, DAMAC Maison. Together, they service over 15,000 hotel rooms and apartments.

There is also a luxury golf course on the horizon, with DAMAC Properties partnering with Tiger Woods to design it and The Trump Organization to manage it. Hussain Sajwani hopes to partner with the Trump Organization to expand his business relationship, and he also has stated that his family and the Trump family enjoy close, personal relationships that include dining together multiple times, and the children are close as well.

Hussain Sajwani is also a very active philanthropist. He is known for taking a special interest in causes that include entrepreneurship, with a focus on needy children. He has participated in and donated to, a cause whose goal was to clothe 1 million children. Hussain Sajwani donated 2 million AED, and this totals out to enough to clothe 50,000 children.
